Rationalism Vs Empirucism

If I had to choose between rationalsm or empiricism I would choose rationalism. There are many reasons why I trust my mind over mi body. FIrst of all I believe that my senses are tricked all the time, I see things that aren´t true. When I watch a movie I can feel it´s real, my senses get mi into another world I don´t belong and it´s my mind the one that recognizes that it´s only a movie, that its not true. Besides there are limitations in the senses, for example I know that atoms exist even if Im not able to recognize one, I can´t feel them. My senses can be triccked all the time, they make me belive in things that are not truth, My mind is able to question the thing I Think, if I see a house I am shure that the house is there, if I think in a theory I can test it so I can be shure if the theory is right or wrong. Magic is an example of how weak senses really are, magicians can make us believe that a rabbit can appear inside and emty hat, our mind is the one who tell us that is imposible that a rabbit is inside something empty so me recognize our senses had fail. This is the reasons why I choose rationalism, because I belive is stronger.

Am I Real?

DEscartes to me is the guy who suffered the most horrible existencialist crisis. He actually wondered wether he is real or just a dream. He thought that he could be only part of a dream, that it was possible that he din´t exist. He spend all his life thinking of these, it may seem unimportant to think about thies but that is just because we stopped wondering things, we think that our own existence is normal, so ther is no reason to star making question about this, but this guy did. After a lifetime of thinking about this, he came out with the solution, Cogito Ergo Sum. I think therfor I am, this is a quote we have all heard, but we dint knew why or what does it mean. It says that as im capable to think, I exist, this is the thing that differences me and a pillow. This is why he is called a rationalist, he believes that the way of knowing he exist is not because he can touch and feel stuff but because he can think. The mind is what really matters. We wondered about his existance because he dindt trust his senses, this means he is not an empirist and he is a rationalist.

Omnieverything

In the middle ages there was difficult to say things about God, because what words can be used to describe such a big being. But thuy tried anyway. The kind of words they used were bigo words that could describe hoy big God really is. The words they used are words that referes to the everything. For example omnipresence, this word means that he is EVERYwere, like there are no limits, this word alouds to make God wat superior than us. This words break the boundries we have, we as phisych beings are attatched to certain rules and conditions, God was adrressed like a being with no imits, no rules, no boundries. We can only be in one place at the time, we have limited amount of information, so to make people understand the huge difference between the power of a normal human and God they star talkink about a God that can do absolutly everuthing we can´t. This words like omnipresence or omniscience are reflecting that God is able to do everything, and to be everything. This is the method they use to create an impact on people, to describe this thing that is so superior than us that can do and can be everything. So in conclusion the came out with this words that are the closest thing to refer to God.

"El Niño Predicador"

Well for least he is funny, religion thinks that people have to belive in God only by faith, and science make poeple belive in them with proofs. I think that the religion is trying to have proofs too. Catholics use things like miracles or people who sees the virgin to tell peaople they have proofs too, and they are willing to belive in anything even if is a ten year old kid. Besides is comon to say that kids don´t lie so it´s a perfect chance to make people more shure about their religion.

Probably if I say I just saw a virgin I will become famous, because religion has a part of magic too, so they believe in anything that can support their religion, they don´t care who or how, they only care that they help people believing in God. I think this kid id full of sh*t, it´s almost insulting, he could be saying that the world is square and if it agrees with religion the people will still applaud to him, they don´t question anything they just believe what they are told. I think that in general people have to star to question everything so the things they choose to believe become more autentic.

The 3th

Well Aristotle is the last of the famous three philosophers, all of them influence each other but each one had his own idea too. The theory that i like the most about Aristotle is the one of the Polis, because he said that they were just a tool to get a better life. I don’t agree that woman can’t live at a polis but anyway everything else is awesome. We grow up believing in that we -- something to our country, and militars are supposed to defend and the flag is such a big thing, but what really matters is what the polis can do to us. At the end we are only looking for things that can help us, and polis should only work for that, so we can develop socially and politically. We should listen more to Aristotle in this and we should find a way to make polis as useful as it is possible. Aristotle developed more ideas too, about moral, about soul and now much philosophers focus too in that. Aristotle ideas are at the end the basis of our ideas, and its cool to understand where all those crazy ideas come from.

Is soul a product of body functions?

The eternal fight is science against God; I think this is where this question begins. So I think that because scientist has more proofs I’m going to believe them so the answer is yes, to me, soul is part of body functions. God may say that there is this thing that is bodiless which controls feelings but now it just sounds ridiculous. Scientist have proof that feelings occur in a certain part of the brain, and memory in other part, and thinking in other, all of those are only a biological process that now we are able to understand.
I guess that in some part of time people were desesperate to find answers, and science wasn´t so developed as it is now so probably this idea of soul began as an answer to all those questions that were going on. But now we can choose to believe in facts instead of believing in the things that blindly everyone is trying to make you believe.
I know it sucks to stop believing in all that fantasy that people are saying but this fantasy it’s only the easy way but not the right one, it’s better to believe in stuffs that can be proved. So as science says I choose to believe in what they say, soul is a product of body functions, biological processes.

I want stairs long enough to reach the Hyperuranus

In here I´ll try to explain what Plato said about the world and the ideas. First it´s important that we understand that we live in the Gaia, is where we can see and touch everything but even if we are so sure about the existence of things because we can sense them Plato said that what we really see is a reflection of what the real world is, is like watching only the shadow of what the reall world is. The Gaia is not real because is not true, (may be shadows can think and they believe they are real because they dont know that there is a world out there and they are just a mere reflection, that probably happens to us, we dont know other reality so we thing we are real) but there is a place where there are real thing, lets understand the world like a three steps stair first is the Gaia ( where we live) the second step is the Uranus (the sky) and the third stage is the Hyperuranos where the real thing are. I like that Plato can go so far, it must be very hard to believe that what we live its a lie, that its not beatiful and that there is a bigger thing out there that we can´t see (the ideas world). To say that our world is not real is a very risky idea but if we don´t take risk we will never make something big, he probably was taken as crazy by some people but now that we are not so afraid of his ideas we get closer to understand what he was really trying to say.
